Encrypt Your DNA?

James Watson (yes double helix guy) was the first to have his entire DNA sequenced and he released it to the public.  Well almost all of it, he withheld the APOE gene data because it is related to the risk of developing Alzheimer’s.  If you’ve had genetic testing of your ancestry or cancer risk or for the best work out for your genes, your DNA data is somewhere, probably in the cloud, probably labeled as your DNA, probably your entire DNA.  Would a life insurance company want to know your risk of getting Alzheimer’s (lowering your life expectancy) before issuing a multi-million dollar policy?  I doubt technology is able to find your DNA and look for ‘bad’ genes but it is coming.  That is why DNA encryption is so important.  So read this article and BOLO (Be On the Look Out)https://www.wired.com/story/to-protect-genetic-privacy-encrypt-your-dna/?mbid=nl_82317_p8&CNDID=31733544
